It is kind of hard to tell if the whole world is like the zone. They left the Elder and formed Nova Sect. But not as lovely beaked or short-snouted as the mutant heroes. The chick (Plutonia) is one of the experiments the Elder escaped with. The wars? Well the Elder says the best ancients locked themselves up to shelter themselves from the red plague, but eventually the got bored or hungry. Red plague? It just happened like most plagues. Ofcourse not all the answers are spelled out for you after all it is a post-apocalyptic world! I think the story unfolds really nicely, but only if you work for it.

No.it's just:'hey look here is a picture of the guy who was the researcher at the mutant lab. Yeah, you got to know that the Elder was the one who created you. At least they could have show more of Eden and what happend there, or what was the conclusion with the Elder. If you think it is a good ending for a story to say: 'yeah, you are mutants who were created by humans in a lab' without even concerning with making the characters interesting enough to care about them or get to know them, I'm sure you haven't played many RPGs or even games with a really good story. (and I read all notes in the game.those few).

The last fight was a fight which was just a regular one with a named person who's name I don't even remember and we know nothing about and her motives. Hell even from a gameplay perspective, there was no real endgame.

Very Hard mode apparently has enemies dealing more damage while you don't regenerate any health at all.Because there is actually almost no story.
